      Good place to work - some growing pains

      Pros

      Good place to work. They are growing quickly, so there are some growing pains, which can be frustrating. Their hearts are in the right place, but more communication across departments needed for sure. Good benefits, and they are dedicated to making sure you have a good retirement.

      Cons

      Managers are promoted based on "who you know" more than actual skill. Lack of communication within and across departments. Tempers flare over stuff that should be fixes by leadership. But I have faith we are heading in the right direction, overall.

      Busy work, busy work, busy work

      Pros

      Independence. The manager currently doesn't tend to hover overhead and leaves you be as long as you get your work done.

      Cons

      Many side projects. This is to be expected as a hospital is ever changing. There is constantly new equipment coming in, safety checks to be done, and software to be upgraded. If you don't have the bandwidth to be able to handle these it can be overwhelming.
