Depends on the project
Pros
My experience has been that it depends on the project as to how good or how toxic the atmosphere is. It seems if the training is decent and not rushed and you have supportive team leads then it's not a bad job at all. The benefits were decent except the dental.
Cons
If the training is bad or rushed, then you're thrown to the wolves & told to "fake it til you make it". If management is not supportive it is riddled with nepotism, laziness, and team leads that retaliate if your metric performance interferes with their metric bonus. My biggest issue with the job was there is no job security whatsoever. They are constantly ending projects and sending them out of the US for cheaper labor. You may get switched to a different line of business with only a weeks notice, or you may just be out of a job. Very frustrating. And from what I've been told by current employees it is getting worse with offshoring.
