      Pros

      The people! There are plenty of good, quality people working there. Very flexible about taking time off. Compensation was above average for the geographical location.

      Cons

      There left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing. Their own worst enemy, with a track record for not learning from their previous mistakes. Slow to implement critical changes that could prevent costly errors. They fail to manage by performance, then wonder why they have issues with getting rid of the dead weight. Fail to develop adequate procedures and then fail to follow what they do have. Growth is based on how well you are liked, not on your performance.

      Pros

      They have good salaries, benefits, and educational opportunities. Most of the people are good people to work with. If you don't care for a supervisor, don't worry. They rotate their supervisors frequently.

      Cons

      Long hours. Sometimes they have unreasonable deadlines.

      Pros

      Great benefits and work/life balance. Good people who care about each other. TVA remains a champion of the advancement of the Tennessee Valley and the people who live there.

      Cons

      Leadership changes direction a lot - multiple reorgs in the last few years. During those directional changes, a great deal of knowledge was lost as experienced members left.
