There are no bussers or runners. The servers perform the task of server, food runner, busser, as well as janitor. You become really close with all the other servers because of the extreme pressure of the job. I jokingly referred to Taco Mac as a concentration camp simply because of all of the crap servers have to put up with, you end up bonding with all the other servers because of the oppression which hovers.
They can and will schedule the crap out of you. You will start hanging out with other employees because the hours which you start & get off.. the people whom you work with are going to be the only people you see// serious face.
The hours are terrible, especially if you have managers who do not like to make cuts when cuts are practical. I understand the business side where you have to plan for a rush or plan for anything. Most of the times I was scheduled to work the sections were poor, there were too many servers, which lead to the sections being even worse... and for a volume shift we would not be out of the restaurant till after 11 on a week night (monday through wed) and we wouldn't even make 30$. On doubles for Saturday again we would be over staffed and you might make 20$ at lunch and then 90$ for dinner (those are good circumstances).
MGMT was always really nice to me, however I did see many of my coworkers get completely taken for granted.
