Pros

Room for advancement, decent benefits and insurence, flexible, lots of training available if you have time to take the trainings, good programs and services

Cons

Low pay that isn’t cooperative, they don’t value their employees, many people in management don’t have enough experience and skills due to high turnover, many employees don’t do what they are supposed to do which can be extremely frustrating for employees that want to help others

Pros

have a mission of helping others, and individual programs seem to do that. Fatherhood project, day programs, school programs, all are worthwhile.

Cons

Very low pay, not competitive with the mental health organization right around the block. poor management and too many of them. overhead absolutely ridiculous. too many directors, money in budgets that should be used towards client care have to go to supervisors and directors. none of the directors want anything to do with the ciients. they wear their suits and dresses and never enter the trenches. They actually encourage you to go into management and act like its superior to serving clients.
