Pros

The clients. Some of the line staff really care about their jobs.

Cons

Everything else. Pay is low. Morale is low. Little focus on quality and client care. Unethical management looking to promote themselves. Too much focus on quantity, quality is lacking.

Pros

Flexible work hours, knowledgeable staff, amazing coworkers, mileage reimbursement and opportunity for productivity bonuses, good relationships with other local agencies. Working at Centerpoint Health/Talbert House allowed me to build lasting professional relationships and networks.

Cons

Since Centerpoint Health merged with Talbert House is has become more about growing the company than serving the clientele. Many of the policies and procedures would seem to make sense until they are implemented at the service level. Productivity is very unreasonable, to the point that most positions cannot truly be 40 hr a week positions when attempting to balance utilization, paperwork, and notes. Upper management does not take the time to ask employees at the service level for input about how the programs are working, nor the clients/ppl served. Employee's are grossly underpaid, especially for the size of the company. Extremely high and consistent employee turnover, further complicating the continuum of care that clients deserve.
