Pros

-The ability to move between positions and/or services lines. - The training department and free trainings offered - Great health insurance -Flexibility -

Cons

- HR rather keep trouble employees to avoid any type of lawsuit than to terminate; overall lack of support from HR. - Executive level team does not seem to care about the well-being of staff - the guy in line to take Neil's position seems to only care about making money, no matter how unrealistic the expectation upon staff to do so is. - turnover and the starting pay for direct service providers

Hello and thank you for your feedback. I would really love to talk with you directly about your concerns. Please contact me by email and let's discuss these matters together. The agency is thriving and growing! In the current fiscal year we have already added several new programs in mental health and addictions services and nearly 50 new staff members! The HR department works very hard to support both the agency and our employees. The Executive team discusses staff welfare at every team meeting and has established some rather extensive measures to support our staff in their work, recognize them for their contribution, help them grow their career, and nurture their well-being in so many ways. A necessary part of any non-profit involves responsibly managing our monetary resources and protecting the long-term success of our programs and services, as well as the total compensation we can offer our staff each year. I'd love to explain how all of this works for you in more detail.

Pros

Can be flexible Some staff are great and feel like family It can be very rewarding

Cons

Disrespectful staff, coworkers are rude and yell in front of other staff and clients, inappropriate comments from co workers Very little communication between supervisors and staff No room for advancement, topped out at the max wage for the position right away For a place that does mental health they don’t seem to care about their employees mental health. Management doesn’t know what they are doing and take it out of employees

Thank you for your feedback. I am sorry that you had this experience. Talbert House has over 50 different locations and programs across Greater Cincinnati. Our management team cares deeply about our staff and works very hard to create continuity from site to site, but many programs retain their own unique culture. Very few employees ever share an experience like the one you have described, so I would really like to learn more. Please contact me, Vice President of Talent and Engagement, at my agency email address or by calling our main number at 513.751.7747. Thank you and I hope to hear from you soon. Take care.
