Pros

The associates/co-workers at my store make it bearable. SM is great with feedback and scheduling.

Cons

-they offer incentives but those are taxed (so it really doesn't matter) -no opportunity to advance, regardless of a great review -no benefits -CEO is very greedy -unrealistic sales goals -not enough payroll hours to complete tasks -pressure to buy clothing

Pros

Nice location outside of city. I found the salaries to be fair when compared to similar positions in the area.

Cons

The leadership does not believe in promoting from within, even if you receive impeccable reviews. The job board has been empty for over a year despite the fact that there are open jobs that they're filling with external candidates only. Work/life balance is non-existent. The company has stopped giving any type of merit raises and drastically cut all benefits.

Pros

Awesome place to work. Very professional atmosphere. Loved the clients and the managers. If you want to learn how to be a professional sales person then Talbots is the place. Great training.

Cons

As with any retail job you have to be available nights and weekends on a regular basis. No benefits for associates.
