      don't ask for time off

      Pros

      Okay place to work for retail, a little better pay than most. Very professional. Very customer service oriented. Overall a pretty good place to work.

      Cons

      My feet hurt so bad when I worked there, only a 30 min lunch if you worked over a six hour shift, and only a fifteen min break if you worked under that. I left Talbots because I asked for two days off three months in advance and the manager said no because ONE other person had asked those days off, but there were about seven other people available to work.

      Pros

      Talbots has some great potential and some great leaders. There is clear focus and vision for the future of the company.

      Cons

      There is a major gap between the excutives understanding of they believe it takes to get a job done. There are some crazy demands with very unrealistic deadline and a limited staff. They do not reward for a job well done.

      Benefits for part-time workers- good discounts.

      Cons

      queen bees..the apple doesn't fall too far from the tree..how true and welcome to Corporate Greed!! I have not been given a raise but Trudy got 1.2million. Need I say more! It is so sad to go from a loyal customer to a dissatified employee.
