      Not bad but fashon industry is not about glamour.

      Pros

      Fairly flexible hourse. Good discount on merchandise. Some managers responsive to new ideas. Strong brand recognition and vision. Clear position in the market place.

      Cons

      Low pay. Red tape decision making process. Not too many opportunities for training and advancement. Job is very vertical. Management cares more about process improvement than innovation. Traditional and conservative approach to marketing. Very thourough hiring process. It's just a fashion business not government security.

      Great prices, good employee discount

      Pros

      Great clothes at close out prices. Great place for Christmas shopping. They offer an employee discount on top of the outlet and clearance prices. You can use the employee discount at other Talbot Stores in the mall. I find that buying clothes and returning was very easy for customers and employees since you can make returns at any store. On top of that if you buy anything online and it doesn't fit, you can bring it back to any store for a full refund.

      Cons

      Store is not as nice as regular Talbot Stores in the mall. The lighting and interior are dated.

      limited training for sales associate/starter position; corporate, mid-level and store management expectations for associates to perform non-work related tasks; i.e. cleaning, vacuuming, trash disposal, display construction, general store maintenance
