Stay away - Talkdesk is a great example of people leaving due to bad management
Pros
- Still some great engineers and people..but they leaving quickly - Great office, free coffee and food (but less than before..likely they are cutting down due to Dreamforce expenses).
Cons
- Upper management have no respect for older employees, they hire friends and push aside the people who build the company in the last few years. There is absolute no recognition for hard work. - Upper management is clueless about their Engineering team. They have no idea on how to manage them well and use a decent process to review their performance. - Management badmouths ex-employees in order to justify their exit to the current employees. - The CEO has absolutely no respect for his employees, he is clueless in how to handle them and resists in promoting people who shows consistent performance. - A lot of backstabbing politics, that the CEO is privy about. He actively encourages rumours. - Office dating makes things awkward (the CEO sets the example). - Promotions are rare, and sometimes they dont come with pay raises. - Recruitement strategy is next to none. With every hire the engineering team quality goes a notch down. - Most of the product team left, along with the VP of Engineering, most senior engineering manager, the first recruiter, the head of human resources and over 20 engineers in the past 6 months.
