Where to begin. At first you think it sounds great to work for a mental health company...until you realize the company and management does not practice what they preach.
The work environment is overall stressful, kind of awful, and very problematic.
Management lacks the emotional maturity required to successfully lead a department. For example, they routinely
speak negatively of other employees behind their backs, including their direct reports, to other employees. They also treat direct reports differently, based on personal biases. What one person can get away with, another is scrutinized for. As other reviews have mentioned, management is completely insecure and self-serving and is therefore more interested in taking others down rather than figuring out how to extract quality work from the team.
You may feel like you are walking on eggshells on a daily basis, trying to navigate the erratic moods and passive aggressive behaviors of management.
If you aren’t interested or good at playing office politics you should probably run from this company especially if you have other options.
Lastly, management’s treatment of young female employees, pregnant, and mothers of young kids is abhorrent. So be warned and know your worth.
I wished I had a heads up about all of these issues. It would have saved me a lot of unnecessary stress.
