Pros

Good pay & benefits for retail. Flexible schedule. Managers & supervisors mainly leave you you to do your job (if the trust you). Mandatory breaks & managers insist on them.

Cons

Managers strive to be fair to everybody... hence they are fair to nobody. THey place too much emphasis on "coaching" which is an ineffective approach to lazy & difficult employees. Managers are hired right out of college & many have a poor work ethic & feel way too important than they really are. I don't think this company is a a good feeder to other management positions... too many bad habits would have to be unlearned.

it was a good place to learn new skills.I have also noticed that a lot of new potential emplyers are impressed with former workers from target

Cons

The thing that finally caused me to walk out was internal politics.When several executivesvie for a position and the "little guy" gets caught in the crossfire its never a good thing.

Pros

The people at Target are top notch. There is a great camaraderie between team members and everyone seems to want you to succeed.

Cons

There is a definite divide between the 'teams'. Being on the flow team seems to be looked down on, but that is usually overcome by being outgoing.
