Pros

Even though I was hired part time, I consistently got 40 hour weeks. I worked this job while going to college full time (16 units) and my team lead and ETL Logistics were both willing to work with my schedule. They went out of their way to make sure I had what I needed. I was working 40 hours a week during summer break, winter break and spring break and they were okay with me cutting that down to 20 hours a week during the semester. I also had a great relationship with the ETL Log and if something didn’t get finished during my shift she trusted me when I said there wasn’t enough time.

Cons

There were times when someone would call out and since the backroom team is small it was a struggle to pick up the absent team member’s slack and finish tasks. The backroom team member position is also known as one of the most demanding positions in the store and you will definitely work hard (physically) for the money. There were several day shifts where I was the only one in the backroom and literally had to run around the backroom to complete cafs on time. Also, in the “Pros” section I said my ETL Log trusted me that tasks didn’t get finished, because they were impossible to finish in the length of time, not because I wasn't working hard. However, several coworkers had different experiences with the ETL Log where she didn’t trust them and they were given a poor work performance rating in the yearly review if tasks weren't finished. So my point is your mileage may vary based on the relationship you have with management. It can either be great or make you want to quit.
