Pros

Large company wit opportunities for growth. Starting manager's salary pays well.

Cons

Turnover for managers is just as high as it is for hourly workers.....???? hmmm. starting pay and pay raises for hourly workers is horrible and insulting. as company, they should stop spending so much money on fancy signs and fixtures and invest in payroll so that that workers wont be so over worked and under trained.

Pros

This is a right place for the one who thinks they have achieved enough in their lives and not chasing behind money or position. Perfect place to retire! All you have to do his listen to what your leader says and nod your head. Every year there is going to be new initiative or change in the name of continuous organizational improvement or transformation and just be part of it, and there is no need to do anything more.

Cons

Team members spend more time on organizational wide initiatives that are usually with short life, non-productive and no value-add to the company. Target is trying to become top-heavy and get most of the work through vendors. To achieve this, many leaders hired lately are from IITs and IIMs in India. If you observe closely you will note that these IIM candidates have only participated in non-CAT route IIM certification programs and they do not possess IIMs coveted PG Diploma or Degree. Most of these new leaders have very little experience or lacks maturity when compared to leaders in other organization holding similar positions/titles. Every leader who joins Target India thinks that he has been hired to create a change and make difference to the existing system. Heavy enthusiasm and energy is usually demonstrated in the first few months and automatically lose interest as time passes and they tend to shift their focus on their self growth/promotion within the organization.

Pros

If you get a really good softlines team lead then there are always pros because they will stick up for softlines and things wont be as hard to deal with.

Cons

There is sometimes alot of drama that happens and softlines is usually not as well attended too as hardlines is.
