Pros

-Great people who have positive attitudes -Nice atmosphere and office -flexible telework capability -great starting point for young professionals, demographic is under 30

Cons

Hmm... -Pay is lower than industry standard and under survey I found that it was abysmal. A handful of people are making doctor/lawyer salaries while millenials are making minimum wage essentially -Benefits are terrible. Health insurance is unaffordable and Obamacare is probably the cullprit, not the company. IRA matching just came to fruition after 10 yrs. of this companies' existence. -No room for advancement in any department. -There was a cult-like weekly meeting led by a marginally talented who-knows-what-this-guy-does figurehead. Apparently that has been changed.

Dear Former Employee, Thank you for taking the time to share your experience working for Team Velocity! At Team Velocity, we encourage continuous feedback from our employees to better understand where we excel and identify areas where we can improve as an organization. Transparency from upper leadership is a core principal we have always operated under to keep everyone in the loop. With our goal of transparency in mind, we implemented our weekly “All-Hands” meetings to start the week on a positive note by giving employees the opportunity to share fun things they did over the weekend, give shout outs to other team members for being awesome, introduce new hires to the rest of the company, announce new client partnerships, share exciting company news and events, and of course to discuss employee feedback. This feedback from the team paved the way for many exciting initiatives for 2016, like a matching 401(k) plan. As positive as our weekly All-Hands meetings were, we received feedback that they were a bit redundant week to week. Therefore, in an effort to maintain transparency and be respectful of everyone’s time, we moved our All-Hands meetings to once a month. We even live stream our meeting so all our remote employees can participate too! As far as pay and career advancement go, the marketing world is a competitive space. We have chosen to steer away from the traditional corporate ladder structure in favor of offering our employees the ability to create career progression for themselves. Whether you are a millennial or not, those who raise their hand and go above and beyond are rewarded with promotions and pay raises. As our company continues to grow, so do the opportunities for advancement. New promotion opportunities and internal job openings are always mentioned during All-Hands meetings and are posted on our company intranet. In addition, the HR door is always open to discuss compensation, career advancement and benefits. We apologize if you were unaware of the resources available to you, but we certainly appreciate the contributions you made to Team Velocity and wish you the best of luck with your future endeavors.

Great People, Poor Pay, False Pretenses

Pros

Really friendly and wonderful people - you can make some great friends at this company.

Cons

The company should not be considered a part of the DC Metro area - one of their main selling points. Getting to work is an abomination (located on an expensive toll road) and there is little flexibility in commuting/no contribution to commuting expenses. This long commute and even longer hours (8-6pm) destroys any potential for work life balance. I worked at Team Velocity/Tier 10 (who knows?) for a little over two years and I worked in multiple departments. My pay rarely changed during my time with the company - they don't seem to value their employees. The pay is very minimal and there is no career potential. The company requires individuals to remain in one position for 2-3 years to even be considered for a promotion.

Thanks for sharing your experience. At Team Velocity Marketing employees who excel are rewarded based off of performance rather than tenure. However with the considerable amount of time we take to train our employees, we do request each employee remain in their position for at least one year. We are always striving to improve, so we genuinely appreciate your feedback.
