      Very Frustrating- Nurse Practitioner Hospital Medicine (Hospitalist)

      The schedule is nice, and the initial starting salary is competitive.

      Cons

      The nurse practitioners in this setting seem to be an afterthought—definitely not a valued part of the team. We do not receive any RVU compensation for the patients we see (it all goes to the MD with whom we are on a team), and we receive no part of the quarterly quality bonus even though we are required to maintain the same standards for the patients we are assigned. There has also never been a raise, and I have been there for 6 years, and now our CME allotment has been discontinued.

      I really can't think of anything nice to say.

      Cons

      Horrible management. They work their employees hard and expect them to keep an upbeat attitude despite their sketchy management. The human resource department is clueless and their benefits are subpar. I can say that I'd rather be unemployed than to ever work for this imbeciles again. They get negative reviews from anyone and everyone that has stepped through their door.
