Pros

Met some good friends. One of my bosses was amazing and always stood up for our team.

Cons

The management is stingy with raises and promotions. If you're even reasonably smart, you'll get overworked and burnt out. They consistently allow lazy staff to perform poorly and stay on, and then overtax their talented staff until they eventually quit. Turnover is very high. The staff on my team was completely different by the time I left than when I started. People tend to get a little experience and then get the hell out.

Pros

Office location and surroundings very pleasant. Benefits are superior to most companies with exceptionally low medical/dental/vision cost to employee. Numerous long-standing contracts providing job security and company growth has led to increase in staff approaching a total of 200 employees. Those with a science or medical background have many opportunities for growth and professional development.

Cons

Senior management often makes decisions based on speculation and hearsay instead of facts regarding employment matters. Foreign born CEO & CFO can at times talk poorly about those born/raised in the U.S. and often make generalizations about staff from various countries. Mid managers can be heard making innappropriate comments about candidates openly in hallways showing their preference for particular race or gender. Respect is demanded by CEO & CFO, but often project an elitist attitude towards staff. Communication from senior management is erratic and staff are expected to uphold standards that are often not clearly communicated or communicated to all. All levels of management participate in entirely too much gossip. Staff tend to become apathetic over time and while the majority are highly educated professionals, most behave like clock punching factory workers. Often met with a "not my problem" attitude by others making it difficult for new staff.

Pros

my very small team was the only thing that got me through my time there

Cons

Working at Technical Resources International (TRI) was one of the most frustrating experiences I’ve had. The supervisors were incredibly disrespectful, often condescending and rude in their interactions. They micromanaged every little thing to the point that it felt like they didn’t trust us to do our jobs. It made even simple tasks feel way harder than they needed to be. It was a hostile work environment. This is coming from an employee who was good at what they're doing and never slacking. if you think you'll have it better cuz you'll be focused on your job and tasks, yes no. That's what i thought too. The whole atmosphere was really toxic—supervisors would constantly second-guess us, and any suggestions or questions were usually met with a dismissive tone. I honestly felt suffocated most days. Instead of being encouraged to grow or contribute, I felt like I was just there to follow orders without any input. and on top of it all, crappy pay. so nothing was worth this hassle. If you're looking for a respectful, supportive workplace, I’d recommend steering clear of TRI.
