Pros

I am currently an account executive at Technifax. Being new to sales when I started, they have been very proactive in providing training and support to make sure I have everything I need to be successful in my position. The sales managers and VP of Sales are very attentive and readily answer any questions that have come up and offer suggestions on how to improve my sales technique. They provide great monthly incentives and a bonus program with great trips. They are a fun group of people and really care about their employees.

Cons

Sometimes their support and training is too much.

Technifax is a typical messy small company.

Pros

The only pro to this company is that, like the majority of the staff already does, you can use your time "cold-calling" in your territory to goof off. That's normal around there.

Cons

The training is minimal and scattered. You work 8 to 5, but are expected to stay after 5, whether you need to or not. The Owner of the company is a complete jerk. It's just a matter of time before his archaic sales practices drive the company into the ground. There are almost no resources for help when you're new. You just have to bounce around from person to person to get questions answered. They have a really high turn over rate for a reason here. A typical sales company is going to have that regardless, but this one is higher because the company is poorly run. They promise you that you can make money here, but don't buy into it. You can work hard and make 65.....maybe. The leadership has no problems talking poorly about employees to other employees. On the other hand the team you work with is great! The management is a circus. Don't waste your time. There are a million companies that sell I.T.

Thank you for sharing your experience. We value all feedback. Outside sales does offer a lot of freedom to manage your own time, making it best suited for someone with self-discipline. It is disappointing to hear you feel not enough learning resources were available to you. We recognize the steep learning curve of technology sales which is why we employ a full time trainer; still one has to be driven to seize the knowledge. Regrettably not every hire can be a perfect fit, but we hope you find yours.
