Meaningful mission overshadowed by staffing and leadership issues

Pros

The mission and population we served is meaningful.

Cons

My experience was that the reality often did not match the values presented during recruitment. Chronic understaffing, leadership turnover, burnout, and retention challenges created ongoing strain for frontline staff. While leadership sometimes acknowledged employee concerns, follow-through on promised improvements was inconsistent. Many staff felt resources were increasingly directed toward expanding administration rather than supporting frontline teams. Important work is possible here, but potential employees should carefully consider compensation, workload, and staffing levels before accepting a position.
