Upper management needs to break away from the old ways and adapt to the new ways. Everything is based on the end of the month goal and employees do not receive any recognition or compensation. Employees are treated as employee numbers and not as a person. The organization must restructure itself and change their operations. Morale is low and management does not help at all.

The engineering management style was definitely stick versus carrot. It had an old school factory feel to it, no flex time, not family friendly, not very progressive at all. It had the most politically malicious environment of any place I've ever worked, most of which was generated by the engineering management to scapegoat failed projects. Most of my co-workers were unhappy working there but because they lived on Cape Cod and had roots there, they were afraid to leave because of the lack of options in the region. I certainly wouldn't recommend moving to Cape Cod to work there.
