Pros

In this niche team there are a lot of great opportunities to travel.

Cons

If you fall behind on the promotion scheme, they can acknowledge it but have too much “red tape” to give the necessary raises/promotion to catch you up… This is one simple reason there is such a high turnover rate.

Overworking, no training and no support

Pros

People are extremely friendly, diversity is extremely high and they're very accepting and inclusive of women/minorities.

Cons

No one receives the proper training they need for their role. They overwork everyone to get the most out of people without having to hire other workers. Everyone is overworked, stressed and tired. The best way to describe the culture is either "workaholic" or "sink or swim"

Pros

Tenaris is good company to work for overall. They invest time into their people in order to achieve high results. This is a great place to start your career because they have a program for people early in their career that guides them along the way and builds them into good leaders. I appreciate the ability to have unlimited amounts of exposure and interactions with high level individuals within the company. It’s very common to be at the same event as the CEO and have open conversations with Directors and even VP’s. Tenaris provides a lot of opportunities for career growth - it’s normal for people to move departments and positions often if there’s a business need and availability.

Cons

Collaboration - Not always aligned between teams. Not a well known company - Most people aren’t aware of Tenaris or what we do although we supply tubular goods to the energy industry and many well known operators. Doing a job while learning a job - Sometimes there’s minimal time for training and learning about the job because the daily tasks can be lengthy. Work life balance is intense but rewarding if you are up for a challenge.
