Pros

You get to work with some wonderful, talented and very hard-working colleagues. In addition, salaries at Tenet tend to be very competitive for both the market, industry and skill level. They do reward their employees financially - and for that I am grateful. I also believe that, overall, from a financial standpoint, Tenet is a very well-run company. I also believe that Trevor Fetter, the CEO, is incredibly smart and is probably one of the most skilled CEOs I've ever seen. That deserves to be said.

Cons

Many departments at headquarters (which Tenet calls "the Home Office") are poorly managed. Leaders can be incredibly difficult to work with, changing their minds at whim and expecting you to work sometimes ridiculous hours (and often do the job of more then one person - literally!). There's no such thing as work-life balance for many leaders at Tenet. Instead, they refer to "work-life integration." Finally, at headquarters, every single employee is forced to work in a cubicle - including the CEO. It's horrific. There is absolutely ZERO privacy, and it's often so loud it's virtually impossible to get any serious or significant work done. It's ridiculous - and every single employee that you talk to at headquarters HATES it. In this aspect, the working conditions are a TOTAL JOKE.

Pros

There are no Pros here.

Cons

A healthcare corporation that does not give their employee's sick leave just 3 hours PTO each pay period. You literally have to punch a time clock at this job. No flexibility at all. Your training will consists of you sitting at your cubicle with a binder of ambiguous policy. After that you rely on your co-workers to train you. However each person is doing something different as it pertains to the work. The training the managers give consist of them reading the policy to you. There is no real leadership from the management. Everyone is unhappy and looking for a way out. The morale is horrible! You would think that corporate would poll the employees here or at least visit this work site on occasion to see how things are going.

No open doors.

Pros

Only if your goal is deceit and lies. Must be getting bonuses for understating funding, and ignoring real staffing needs.

Cons

Awful managing director. Hired a year ago. Has no integrity. Told us he had open door policy. Never there to open door or answer questions. Avoids direct answers. Goes to training sessions all the time. When he's back in office gets reduced. Lies about other departments having staffing cuts as well. No straight answers. Never comes through for those who care and take care of things he is supposed to do. But he takes credit for what he hasn't done. He's a wolf in sheeps clothing.
