Pros

Fair salary and average paid time off

Cons

This was the most unpleasant, hostile work environment I have ever encountered. The pay seems enticing, but not for the amount of grief one must endure on a daily basis. Significant turnover from executive to hourly employees, probably due to job burnout by the employee. No loyalty to anyone or anything. Managers regularly take credit for their team's work and have no problem hanging their team out to dry when an issue arrises. The tension is palpable, I would never recommend Tenneco to anyone.

Pros

Cool discounts and benefits. Opportunities to meet lots of people and network. Learn a lot.

Cons

You are just a number. Many good employees getting suddenly laid off and let go. The culture is very uneasy and morale dropped because of the amount of people getting randomly let go.

Pros

Hybrid schedule that Apollo, our new PE owners, are dying to take away. Friendly coworkers The former executives guaranteed we would get our full bonus this year, even though we got a nasty email telling us about all of the reasons we don’t deserve it.

Cons

New executives are psychopaths and bringing in all of their old non-diverse male friends from other Apollo victim companies to run the company Apollo gutted the executive leadership team with no transition plan After working successfully from home for THREE years, the new PE firm is insisting we come back to the office. Our former executives TRUSTED us to work literally work wherever we wanted to work. Apollo kicked all of our executives out (after being told our executives would remain the same) and reneged on the Work Agile program that we all loved. In an economy with 10% inflation, these new executives decided that we don’t need our merit increases for another three months, and at the same time are spending hundreds of thousands of dollars to fly the new execs to plants all over the world for photo ops. 30 year SAP systems (like 100 of them!) Shoestring budgets The worst IT team I’ve ever encountered Barebones staff New, but constant threat of layoffs NO diversity among executive ranks. One token female they fired someone else to hire, and a bunch of old non-diverse boomers Very little opportunity for advancement New execs have buyers remorse and treat employees like garbage. Exec leadership decided who is eligible for promotions during talent review. Not a “high-po?” No promotion for you! You are a “high-po?” Promotions every year with no additional responsibilities, or minimal new responsibilities for appearances sake.
