Pros

Being home and the pay

Cons

Ive worked with several different firms with this one being the least comfortable and liked. I had an opportunity to work in my home state. Oklahoma city to be exact. The upper management is ran by some weasels. I was fired for not knowing how to use a certain program used by the state dept. Prior to being hired the hiring managers were informed i did not know how to use it. Instead of being trained how to use it i was terminated. Very unprofessional way of terminating someone if i may say as well. All i would say about this certain bunch of managers not the whole company just okc office in particular. They are not fair and there training of new employees is very poor. Company expects you to work out of town but will not let you pull your travel trailer to wherever the job sight might be at. Micro managed and treated unfairly if they dont like you. I believe i was wrongfully terminated. Ive asked for a termination letter its been over a week now. Still dont know my exact reason for termination. Also the perdiem is not fair if you are working out of town and a contractor decides not to work. You dont get PD for that day. Have a great day.

Good people, bad pay and benefits.

Pros

I had some of the most caring and passionate coworkers and gained valuable experience.

Cons

Pay is low, especially for young professionals starting out in the field. Corporate management is archaic and the benefits reflect that. Vacation/holidays (Christmas, Thanksgiving, etc)/sick time/personal days are all pooled together into 20 days of time off a year until you reach 5 years. This means employees come into the office when they are sick to avoid using vacation time, causing others to get sick as well. Maternity leave is not on par with competitors. In fact there is no maternity leave, you must instead use remaining vacation time and then opt for short-term disability. Why in 2017 are we calling pregnancy a disability??? Women often expressed relief that they had their children before coming to Tetra Tech. The board is all white old men with the exception of one woman (not a surprise when you see the lack of maternity leave). There is also little opportunity in the way of advancement and salary increases. Also, there is a hush-hush bonus program that when they give you your bonus, they tell you to not tell anyone about it.

Pros

The company is filled with a number of good, high quality individuals if you are willing to spend the time trying to find them.

Cons

The corporate structure is that of a number small organizations forced together as a conglomerate with very little corporate identity. This creates an environment of infighting for work when that would be more beneficially directed outward.
