      Pros

      Good opportunities for those with good business sense and personality. Mid-level and higher employees are compensated well but probably average for the industry. People are nice with not that many egos to feed. Very interesting and challenging jobs to work on. Very smart individuals.

      Cons

      Publicly traded companies can be a bit different to work for. Greater emphasis on showing predictable and stable or growing financial results than with a private company.

      Pros

      This is a large company so you have access to all the resources and prestige of the company when you are selling work in the industry. Despite being a large company each office and division seems like a small company, because ultimately it is run like a small company. The people are genuinely nice and you can have a flexible schedule.

      Cons

      This company doesn't focus on organic growth and does not care about fostering growth for their employees or operating units, they make money by acquisition. The operating units operate completely independently from each other and subsequently it's all about you. Your office, your operating unit, your boss will provide no business plan or support. If you can create your own business leads internally/externally then you will be fine. However expect people to insular and not share work with you when you send work their way.

      Pros

      Tremendous growth and opportunity for the ambitious. Compensation commensurate with responsibilities and market conditions. A good place to expand your experience and career opportunities. High quality people.

      Cons

      Business is very market focused, and can be limiting if market trends downward. Shifting growth initiatives creates confusion about core markets. Large company can isolate segments of the company, with challenges in delivering a clear mission and vision.
