Pros
Can not speak to the other functions of the company but within federal consulting the work schedule is flexible and there is very little oversight so long as the work gets done. Pay and benefits are also a plus.
Cons
As with most government contracting/consultative positions, there is little room for growth, the work is often boring and you quickly become a number (revenue) to the company. Leadership cares only about whether the contract is funded and little about job satisfaction.
