Pros

Flexible work hours, extremely talented co-workers. Internal website and IT support were very helpful, as were human resources staff.

Cons

Poor opportunities for training and advancement for most employees lead to a high turnover rate. Accounting practices make it difficult for employees in one office to do work for another office. It seems easier to hire outside help than to look for internal expertise. Many creative and talented employees are not working to their potential, they are just doing busywork. Benefits were expensive, particularly for the healthcare plan, which was full of loopholes.

Pros

Stable work environment. People are mostly friendly. Benefits, stock options and 401K are all good. Very organized corporate work structure.

Cons

Company sometimes feels too large and impersonal. I've never met or talked to the CEO/President. Company seems more like a holding company for smaller competing engineering firms at times, rather than a large unified company..

Not alone going for it right now. Every midwest office is struggling with work

Cons

Forced to use PTO when no billable work is available. PMs guard work and play favorites to who they distribute to. Raises are abysmal. No employee gets higher than 2% due to how profits are split company wide between operating units. Medical benifits were diluted to just Aetna and has higher premiums after having several options the previous years. DEI language was stripped from the company to satisfy the current administration.
