Pay check but not worth the mental anguish because of poor managers

My director was a gossip queen and liked to passive aggressively put down co-workers instead of being an adult and asking them to help. The VP knew of this behavior and did not fix it. It caused a lot of unwanted tension within the department and the office. Management really doesn't care about you as a person. They tell you they do but at the end of the day they do not. They care about the bottom line.
