Pros

Good knowledge sharing, good technical environment, good relationship with peers.

Cons

Promotion opportunities extremely limited. Opportunities to young engineers almost non-existant. Amazingly a company with this much brain power promotes managers based on seniority and not performance nor knowledge. Promotion criteria completely wrong.

Pros

good brand name, great products, challenging assignments. There is a lot of independence provided to employees starting from new college grads to experienced employees. Also there is lot of opportunity to show one's work. Good amount of resources are available to execute a job successfully.

Cons

electronics industry unpredictability, no defined career path, stress on more and more data. A lot depends on which group one is working. Groups which have more money are definitely better groups to work.
