Pros

Great place to start a career in the semiconductor industry after college since you will get a variety of experiences and learning opportunities within the first couple of years. TI is one of the better semiconductor companies in the industry right now and with all of the merger's and acquisitions that can be a good thing.

Cons

TI is very much a Texas based company, so working for TI in Dallas, TX (HQ) is awesome, however if you're like me working in one of the many regional sales offices, in this case Silicon Valley, CA, then it can be troublesome with regards to compensation. The SF Bay tech culture is unique and most valley companies here offer a certain level of pay and amenities that TI doesn't. The pay when you get sent here from Texas is adjusted but not nearly enough, your quality of life will suffer.

Pros

The culture is really chill, tons of super smart people, very friendly. You learn a lot and if you're into electronics, you will become a master of how they're made and how they work. It's neat stuff! And they offer really great benefits like profit sharing, employee share purchase program and 4% 401k matching.

Cons

Sometimes it can be easy to just get by and not do a lot of work. Since the whole place is cubicles, I felt like it was hard to collaborate and meet others around me.
