Pros

very good engineers and long term employees

Cons

frequent re-orgs, marketing more important than engineering, Internally it is a group of many small companies, very conservative and risk averse.

Pros

One of the few companies left in America whom actually have semiconductor foundry. You get to learn silicon hands on.

Cons

It is very difficult to fix mistakes once silicon is cast. Work-around solutions will not fix the problems. It is chasing-your-tail problem.
