Pros

Texas Instruments has excellent benefits and a great work culture. If you're interested and determined to move up, there are many opportunities.

Cons

Semiconductor manufacturing can be a stressful job at times. The facility operates 24/7 so it is not uncommon to get phone calls after your work day or on weekends.

Pros

Very disciplined business and engineering practices. TI engineers and R&D builds the best most reliable, robust microprocessors/SoCs in the world. By far.

Cons

Very strong internal culture, and still a DSP-only mentality, to the point of it being difficult for the management teams to accept outside ideas and experts' recommendations for change. Hard for someone that didn't grow up at TI to advance within the organization.
