Pros

-Good hours (3 or 4 days off a week) -competitive pay (once you're actually hired, not just temp) -they will pay for education -bonuses

Cons

-poor mid level management -no upward mobility without a degree -managers have nothing to do so they micro-manage -very poor raises ~2% for most people

Pros

Huge company - great job security. Good CEO and direction. Very ethical Great work-life balance

Cons

Lots of bureaucracy. Kind of bloated. Working at TI requires a lot of TI-related knowledge. Feels like one needs just as much technical knowledge of circuits as experience using TI tools. Don't really get the feeling that you're working on the next great thing. Just making slightly better parts to keep up with the market.

Great company

Pros

The company respects employees, and offers great benefits, including profit sharing and reduced cost stock purchase plans. Working from home is allowed, and encouraged, within reason. Getting the job done is the focus. You can rise as far as you are qualified to rise, and experience is valued.

Cons

Sometimes layoffs happen that might have been avoided...
