Pros

Salary is very competitive compared to other semiconductor companies, especially considering Texas cost of living. The company is doing well and has a good strategy, for at least the short term. There are a lot of smart people working at the company.

Cons

It can be hard to move between groups. There are frequent layoffs. The product development tends to be rather slow and cautious.

Pros

Good work / life balance. Plenty of opportunity for advancement. Generally secure employment at the major sites. Diverse employee group.

Cons

Remote design centers are becoming tough to survive. Few women in engineering roles; those with good skills can move swiftly in the managerial path.
