Pros

Great A type personalities to work with. You will learn a lot in this high paced environment. If you work in a big location like dallas, the campus is very nice.

Cons

Too much change in organizations, and some business groups are growing while others are drowning. They have no issues with laying off entire teams from business groups that are not preforming well. They only way you can survive at TI is to smell trouble early on and jump from group to group before layoff comes. Its sad, but the simple truth.

Challenging, but not always for the right reasons...

Pros

Plenty of good here. Competitive salary, great benefits, lots of different potential roles. Exciting to drive the next generation of hardware.

Cons

Middle management quagmire, good decisions often blocked by political interplay. Many of the development models are antiquated and highly inefficient, but almost impossible to modify.

Great company

Pros

Stable and ethical and now with a large presence in the Bay Area. They have formalized processes and you typically know where you stand within the organization.

Cons

Sometimes slow to move as they often operate like a large company. Most employees are in Texas which can limit career opportunities for those not wiling to move back there. A heavy focus on analog.
