Pros

At TI, it's in our DNA to invent and create. Jack Kilby inventing the integrated circuit here is the best example. As an individual contributor at TI, I see this every day. I am free to be creative, think outside the box, and fail when necessary. But the end result is I produce value to the company through many technical wins, despite the few losses. I love the culture at TI: its stand on social issues (we just had the pride flag flown over our facility all through June) and its immense presence in the Dallas community charities, arts, and sciences.

Cons

In manufacturing, it is a high pressure environment to keep making wafers. So sometimes the work, life balance can be tricky. But from what I have heard from coworkers who have worked at other places like Intel and Samsung, TI is doing a pretty good job in that area.
