The chair is supportive in the face of a highly dysfunctional institution.

Cons

This institution suffers from a lack of competent leadership on all levels of administration, is pathologically insular, and is financially mismanaged. As a result, talented, more than-qualified faculty are routinely expected to do more for less money and are silenced.

Pros

The students are amazing and there is potential if people in the administration are replaced and if more money is put into students versus the administration.

Cons

The culture is toxic and the administration does not support student success. The board is too involved with the daily operation of the university and the quality of education is subpar. This is supported by the poor graduation rate. In addition, TSU has a history of fiscal irresponsibility.
