      Pros

      Cessna continually promotes from within as well as developing talent from outside.

      Cons

      In several cases, the "best" candidate for a position was overlooked due to degree requirements. In some cases, the candidate was already an employee and had been doing the job.

      Pros

      Strong name in aviation since 1927. Wide variety products.

      Cons

      Leadership/Upper management changing with less caring for employees and more caring of profits. Healthcare benefits are poor.

      When the economy is good, this is a great place to work

      Pros

      Being a part of building an aircraft is great. Compensation for the area is fairly decent.

      Cons

      Cessna is in a very cyclical industry. The majority of my time at Cessna was in the recession. Layoffs started six months after I started and I spent the next 2.5 years wondering if my position was getting chopped in the next round of layoffs. I found that to be the one area of stress in my job.
