Pros

You will learn the importance of putting the right people in positions.

Cons

It's evident that certain people in upper management were hired as a favor. Plant Managers hire their relatives or a former interns who attended their alma mater. They pass the leadership baton around amongst friends to keep unbiased qualified people out. They will hire African Americans for mostly assembly or other positions associated with the floor. The diversity they claim to have is very much manipulated.

Pros

For a mechanical engineering graduate it's good to have this company on your CV. Attended sessions by senior engineers who talk on different engineering topics of practical relevance. Provide training to improve communication skills.

Cons

Irresponsible managers. They will hire and fire at will. They hire from premier institutions like IITs but have no plan for training or retaining new recruits. They used to send new recruits to Wichita/Fort Worth for a short duration assignment but have discontinued that. The financial crisis of 2008 did a long term damage to the prospects of this company, especially there aircrafts business.

Pros

My role is a good mix of my intellectual and practical strengths. My direct manager is also the strongest supervisor I’ve ever had. I have a very good relationship with them as we have trusting relationship and they are very skilled technically and supportive of the way I work.

Cons

Simple decisions take too long to implement. We’re overburdened by politics and bureaucracy. Managers should be able to decide and take appropriate action within their scope and responsibilities.
