Limited Growth and too many Cliches!

Pros

Beautiful property with amazing ocean views.

Cons

It is all a cover up. The resort claims that magnificent growth potential but 2 years later you are stuck in the same role, doing the same thing, over and over. No upward mobility and the directors in charge have no real clue what the GM's are actually like to work for. They turn their head to official complaints about GM's without doing anything about it. As long as the bottom line is high, then they feel the GM is qualified. But what do you do when the Organization culture is great, but the unit culture does not match. You become frustrated and eventually leave. Sexism abounds on the unit level and favoritism is at its highest. Unfair treatment and preferential treatment to others, especially when it comes to schedule. Beware of the pitchfork behind the leaders smiling face.

Pros

Dynamic environment, always something different with all the corporate groups that come through the hotel, great team and great benefits. Good work environment located right on the beach in Palm Beach.

Cons

Lack of resources does not allow you to maximize productivity and efficiencies and it is mainly the little things. Work/life balance is good for people in traditional business roles however those staff that worked in the traditional hotel operational departments had it tough with the response being thats what you signed up for.

Pros

Standard schedule, limited overtime compared to rest of industry

Cons

Many people hired have no actual experience or are simply placed in the wrong department and company will not move them after hiring.
