Pros

Great schedule flexibility and money compared to other restaurants around the city. The place is huge so you can usually get in our out of shifts if you need to, and it stays busy enough that you can make good consistent money (for serving tables).

Cons

The Cheesecake Factory unfortunately attracts some extremely undesirable clientele, especially on the weekends. You can see some really really low tip percentages, but usually those shifts come with really high sales, so at the end of the night you still make a good amount of money, but it can be really brutal at times. It's not a place where you do $500 in sales and have a 25% tip percentage, more like $1800 in sales with a 12% tip percentage. Also, the tip out is a total of 4.5% of your sales, which is a bit higher than most places, however in that restaurant you really rely on the help of the rest of your team.

Pros

It's always busy so time flies by and the money is good, but not great

Cons

300+ menu items / 100+ cheesecakes and 150+ drinks to memorize inside and out. Sound impossible? it is. I didn't have to work this hard for my Master's Degree. The money is good, but you can make just as much working at Applebees or Fridays and not have to walk on eggshells for snoody cliental in an open plan restaurant where your every movement / facial expression can be observed. Not to mention you have to where all white, which gets dirty and expensive to maintain. I've worked for many restaurants and I thought I would make GREAT money at cheesecake, but you really don't. Expect 150 TOPS for a super busy night shift, and 250 TOPS for a double. I'm sorry but I can make 300 on a double at a casual dining restaurant wearing comfortable clothes and being able to actually talk to my guests. NOT WORTH IT.

Pros

Good benefits, high volume, good food, nice environment, great co-workers, most managers are great to work with, number of employees make it easy to get time off

Cons

Very poor tip percentage towards the end of the night. Business is very sparatic and it is very hard to predict business and income
