Pros

There isn't one I can think of. It's the most horrible job and I couldn't say one positive thing about it.

Cons

Do not take a job here!!!! It is the most horrible place to work. In all my experience I've never experienced such a hostile work environment especially in the girls graphic department. I've never came on Glassdoor to write a complaint because I've been pretty happy in all my previous jobs and I've been in the industry for awhile but if I could help anyone trying to decide if they want to accept a job here I want to try. They will offer you a lot of money as their incentive to get you in and then will force you to sign a contract so you really can't leave. They know how miserable it is and how often people quit and they want to make sure they can force you to stay. All the money in the world isn't worth the way they make you feel. A normal week is 60+ hours and if you try to leave before 7pm the girls graphic manager will yell at you and tell you that you didn't ask her permission. She thinks she owns us and she can work you like in a sweat shop. Management is horrible. It Is such a hostile work environment and HR knows about it because of the numerous complaints and have not done a thing to change it in the past year and a half. do They only care about the money they are making and not the people that are killing themselves. There are no vacation days allowed. The manager will approve your days then when it's time for your vacation she will tell you that you have to come in. I've never in my life have been in a situation like this and today after they told me that the company making money is way more important then taking us out of the hostile working environment I decided to Take myself out of the situation. I hope I can help anyone that is trying to make a decision. Also they promise you can "work from home" and they let you for the first couple of weeks to get you in and then all of a sudden it's like she never agreed to it. And you end up coming in everyday.

Pros

Took the negative and abusive culture as a motivation to never allow myself to work for a company like this again or ever abuse my power to behave as these people did

Cons

absolutely everything, location, culture, work hours (I worked 60+ hours a week, every weekend, up at 4am pulling reports, and that is at the executive level...same across all levels at the company) not allowed to go on vacation, took 1 week off in 2 years and was expected to answer all calls and emails while on PTO--even though I had a fully capable team to manage the business in my absence, and I was made fun of for taking time off. I once asked to take 1 1/2 weeks off and had to get CEO approval, even though we had no line reviews/major deliverables during that time, I decided to leave at that point. Important to note that all employees receive 5 weeks of PTO, but the caveat is that no one can take it.

Pros

Salaries are high for a reason ladies and gents. They draw you in by paying you more than average, but once you're there, I promise you will dread going to work every single day. The only other "pro" I can think of is summer Friday's.

Cons

This review is specifically directed toward the HR department. The managers do not care, nor does senior leadership. When there was a mistake made, the finger was always pointed down to the last person on the totem pole. Once they decide they don't like you, better believe you'll be either A) put on a performance improvement plan and they'll give you so much work there's no way you could ever possibly "improve" or B) they'll make your life so miserable to the point where you're almost being hazed that you'll decide to quit yourself (usually they'll try for the latter so they don't have to pay you severance). All I can say is, I'm happy to be far removed from this place. Now that I'm at a new company, I'm finally being appreciated and respected. I'm considered a top performer and I was recently awarded a $500 gift card as a thanks for the contributions I've made thus far at the firm. I couldn't be happier to have left TCP and it makes me smile to know that I walked away from a circus of clowns with my head held high.
