Pros

Growth opportunities within the company.

Cons

There are not enough customer service representatives for the volume of customers, mandatory overtime, having to work in 3 or more queues during a normal workday, pay is not commiserate with the amount of work you are required to do. It has become a very stressful environment and employees are being micromanaged and coached to death.

Pros

People outside HR were nice

Cons

Their processes don't allow you to get your job done. For example: I was told to pay for diversity sponsorships with my corporate credit card and my credit limit couldn't even handle a single transaction. When I was able to make a payment with my corporate credit card, it was declined twice with a diversity partner. They're a Fortune 13 company...C'Mon Man! There were also months when my entire team's credit card account was suspended. We missed out on an entire semester of recruiting because of budgeting and payment processing issues. Another reason I left was because I was thrown to the wolves from day one. For example: Being invited to meetings with senior leaders without any context or meeting prep and asked to give recommendations on the spot. I was also responsible for renewing diversity partnerships with no information about the process and my internal partner was a total nightmare!! Cigna is purely performative. Just out here checking boxes to look good on paper. They aren't doing a single thing that actually matters. There was NO diversity on the senior leadership team in my area and they have more excuses than solutions. They refuse to take accountability when hiring managers and business leaders question their reporting, metrics and outcomes. They are also very reactive and don't think through their strategic initiatives. Most recent example is their brand refresh. This is the third time it has changed since October 2021. Talent retention/turnover in key roles and job functions is a huge issue. My manager didn't have a single development conversation with me during my tenure despite me constantly saying I want to grow. I wouldn't recommend Cigna to anyone for anything (employment or insurance). I literally never want to hear the word Cigna again. THE WORST!!!

Pros

Pros: The position was remote.

Cons

The training was awful and all over the place. When you ask for help or to be switched trainers, they refuse and defend their trainers. They lie about schedules or won't tell you what they are. There is no accommodation for those on the West coast when everything is in east coast time. Benefits are AWFUL. Forced to take PTO in my first 90 days for a holiday weekend. If one person didn't take the day off then no one could have that day off. I shouldn't have to use my future PTO (that I couldn't even use in my first 90 days) if I don't want to just because everyone else voted yes. Pay was not in line with my location.
