Pros

Overall, it is a nice company. I liked seeing some effort being made to increase automation and be more efficient. This is important with the shrinking headcount.

Cons

To get better results from employees, need to invest in some training. Beware of the HR department (issues with confidential info being shared, hit or miss enforcement of standards). Before you jump in, check how your department operates and the teams within. Some departments are ok, while others are toxic across the board.

Pros

Great employer, work from home with a company car provided. They let you do your job and leave you alone.

Cons

Computer systems have been behind the times. Pay is a bit low for what is expected. Reporting requirements are more than needed.

Pros

I had an excellent group of team members and a great boss. The benefits package is good and the 401K match is better than other companies that I know of. Company will pay for designations and gives you money for completing them. Job stability seems to be top notch. Comprehensive training program (makes this a good place to start off).

Cons

Office culture and level of technology are both an odd mix of being outdated and slowly improving. Workload can be overbearing depending on your territory. Pay is far below the industry standard (its the main reason I left). Hiring is being ramped up, but years of not having new underwriting classes coming in has caused a shortage. This is compounded by new and seasoned associates finding jobs elsewhere. Morale just isn't very good. Enjoyable co-workers help, but everyone still talks about people leaving, etc. Most people that stay have established families with kids and they most likely grew up in Cincinnati as well.
