Pros

Very challenging work atmosphere, high level of responsibility, surrounded by very intelligent people, the work is very interesting and well intended

Cons

R&D atmosphere is generally an autocracy, decisions are driven to the highest level. There is a lack of trust by senior management. Recent re-organization was completed, need to wait and see if it is impactful.

A great place to work...if you fit the "Clorox mold"

Pros

Great training, smart, ambitious & interesting co-workers, marketing experience does wonders for your resume, half-day Fridays during the summer, fair (but not great) compensation, convenient to BART - great job to have if you live in SF.

Cons

The people who succeed at Clorox fit a certain "mold" or "profile"; if you're anything different than this profile (even if it's for better), you won't last too long there - it's an up-or-out culture. It is a very conservative company and it takes a lot of buy-in to get anything achieved...so if you're looking for somewhere where you have freedom to be autonomous and to try new things, this is not the place to do it at.
