Cons of working at emmes

Business Outlook

Pros

I workes with and met great talent.

Cons

The company does not care about the people, only the bottom line. There is no transparency. A group is told their jobs are safe and come in one day to a 4 minute call telling them there services are no longer needed, promply having access removed and having to wait for a fedex package with their serverance details. People not affected were told that those laid off had access to placement resources but that was not provided through emmes, this was done on the individuals own accord. The company brings people into leadership roles while releasing those who do the work. When project o clint issues are escalated, leadership does nothing to support the project team. 3 or 4 unforeseen layoffs within 1 year time.

Let go

Pros

None to report. Company is undergoing "restructuring" and "reorganization". Those paying attention will know this is just the company getting ready to get sold.

Cons

Company is getting sold there isn't much to say outside of this. 100 people were laid off just now and no one is safe. Goodbye Emmes. You were once a good company. Benefits gone downhill. People let go. Management isn't helpful at all. No communication whatsoever. The layoffs were done without any communication to the rest of the company just like the last two times last year in 2023. The company is split into two separate entities. I'm guessing it is sold by parts with 3 separate CEOs. It is very evident that the company is moving to getting sold. Any other idea is delusion.

Pros

Former mission: advance public health

Cons

Mission now: appear as financially solvent as possible for upcoming sale. Human health impacts no longer matter.
