Pros

Hanover Insurance does have a very good pay scale.

Cons

They are not sure what they want or how to get it. The lower level-mid managers are desperate to prove their value and you must make them look good-no room for independent thinking! They laid off a very good group of employees in August 2017 without warning so don't feel too secure. The moral in certain departments is very poor. The human resource employees are NOT worthy of your trust....not the first time this has been written in the reviews.

Waste of time and efforts

Pros

Good life work balance, vacation time off. Good benefit package. If you are looking for a job so that you can spend more time with your family or a place to retire from, this is definitely the one.

Cons

Cultural and management vary a lot from group to group. Some people have been there forever or for some other reasons not interested in innovation. People do realize that technology used there is REALLY outdated but there's not enough initiatives or funding from upper management to push for changes. They hire new talents for their expertise but do not utilize their skills properly. If you are looking for a place to build your career and skills, stay away from here. If you care abt your work a lot and want to make a positive impact at work, stay away from here. You will get frustrated very quickly. To me the experience here is more or less a waste of my time. It didnt add much value on my resume.

Pros

You get paid. Only take a role in ISP if you are homeless!

Cons

-Highly unorganized -VERY unprofessional -Lack of technology advancement -Training for ISP is completely a waste of time - ISP IS 100% SALES (no customer service element) -ISP turn over rate is extremely HIGH. (70 to 80%) -billing is complex and unorganized. (No two people will come to the same answer) -not all call Centers take the same calls or licensed in all states that Hanover writes. -too many excel forms to fill out -Completely outdated technology
