Disturbing Trend - Like Intentionally Chasing Away Staff

Pros

Some areas of the company have All Star Talent. My area has dedicated, hard working folks that take ownership and care deeply for our success. They have tremendous integrity, and behave as role models every day. I am inspired to work with them.

Cons

Other areas of the company treat other teams in an adversarial manner. Politics have increased significantly in the last couple of years, and it seems in IT at any rate it is more important to have the APPEARANCE of diversity, equity and inclusion than the REALITY of it. I am beginning to doubt the integrity of some of our leaders. Some of the decisions made at a high level seem geared towards making employees quit to avoid having to pay severance.

Pros

Learning New systems. A great job for a wide eyed recent college grad.

Cons

I value being able to move when I want over money, so this doesn't work for me

Pros

PTO, benefits are decent. There is usually a raise for most people annually.

Cons

There are a lot of false messages to get you to do extra work. For instance, they will tack on extra reports, reviews, informal mentoring/coaching on the grounds this will help you progress smoothly up the chain...however, you will just get more work and no movement. Then you will be questioned endlessly about your "productivity" and/or distractions, when truly everyone is leaving and you're absorbing those caseloads and its behind because of who it's coming from. The unnecessary stress this adds is very thoughtless. There is a lot of take...not a lot of give. They'll work you into your grave then replace you.
