Pros

Gain entry-level customer service skills. The benefits begin day 1 and are really good.

Cons

If at all possible, do not take this role just to get your foot in the door! If you have a 4-year degree or are a recent graduate, brush up on your behavioral interviewing skills and apply for underwriting positions. You will be unnecessarily stuck in customer service when you could have started in a role making 15K-20K+ more to start. I've seen people make that mistake many times just because they didn't know.

Pros

None to mention outside of pay.

Cons

Rude RVP, AVP, Managers and TL's. Will work you to the bone Monday - Sunday including holidays and days off sometimes 12+ hours a day because they want to cut back on staff to be more profitable. Extreme burn out :-(

Pros

Great company to work for, great benefits, great work life balance. Everything is pretty good, they have a great Diversity & Inclusion department, great opportunities, great Employee Resource Groups.

Cons

They don't promote women of color! They don't promote diverse candidates. They don't consider diverse career backgrounds during promotion cycles. They only consider standards that only very privileged people can achieve. Therefore, only privileged people get promoted. They would rather hire external non people of color than coach and mentor qualified people of color for the role. They don't reprimand micro-aggressions, they have an outdated and performative Diversity & Inclusion strategy. They promote Diversity & Inclusion as their greatest asset, but if you work there long enough you will understand that it lacks true substance. If you don't need a promotion for the next 5 years and are okay with seeing your non people of color colleagues get promoted before you, the company is phenomenal to work for. If you are still growing in your career, need coaching or are a woman of color, work somewhere else.
